More Roundabout Placemats from Night Owl Quilting

Reneta made another set of Roundabout placemats, this time featuring some cute Puffin fabric.  Reneta requested an all over quilting pattern and she selected the Dragon's Breath pantograph.  The simple tone on tone black and white fabrics really make the puffin fabric pop!

The Roundabout pattern includes 2 tables runners and the placemats.  One of the runners and the placemats are easily customizable to the size that best fits your table.  It is available from Highway 10 Designs in either a paper copy or a PDF download.

Hot Chocolate from Night Owl Quilting

Karen brought this fun One Block Wonder panel quilt.  The panels that Karen used were from the an older Wilmington Prints collection called Cocoa Sweet.   There are so many interesting blocks to look at.

Karen added some lovely borders to frame the body.  I love the interesting pieced elements in the outer border.

Karen selected the Dragon's Breath pantograph, for the steamy look to it.  We used a shiny light turquoise thread.  The rich brown cocoa fireside backing was the prefect finishing touch!

Dots and Dashes from Night Owl Quilting

This fantastic scrap busting quilt was made by Reneta.  Reneta makes a lot of scrap quilts and I think this is one of my favorite patterns that she has used.  The pattern is called Dots and Dashes and you can check out the free tutorial here.

The pattern isn't really complex, but it is very effective.  When you look at the little individual squares it is hard to imagine how they will all look good together, but they certainly do!

Reneta selected the Dragon's Breath pantograph which is a lovely contrast to all of the squares.

Two for Colleen from Night Owl Quilting

Colleen brought over two lovely lap quilts.  The first is this bright and cheery sampler with the sweetest little 6" blocks.  Colleen had a vision for the quilting  - she new she wanted something soft and curved that was dense enough to match the scale of the quilt.  A new pantograph in my collection called Dragon's Breath was the perfect fit.

The second quilt was this lovely broken herringbone.  Colleen selected the Dazzle pantograph to finish this one off.

Colleen added a cool block/label to the back of the quilt which is pretty and functional.
